Increased prize money on the agenda after Star Pelaw switch
STAR PELAW will offer across-the-board increased prize money of approximately 20 per cent when the full transfer of ownership from Jeff McKenna and family is completed.
The north-east track is due to switch from Arc to the SIS service on the weekend of Saturday 19th October/Sunday 20th October with a new prize money structure whereby A1 and A2 races will offer £450 and £440 in prize money, with £150 and £140 going to the winner respectively, while at the opposite end of the scale, A8 races will offer £105 to the winner with a total pot of £305 for the race.
Star Pelaw will race on Boxing Day as well as a potential fixture scheduled for New Year’s Day.
Kim Sanzone, head of greyhound racing operations at Star Sports, said: “Star Pelaw are delighted to be able to offer an increase in prize money to further demonstrate our commitment to the track and to all the trainers and owners who have supported us.
“We hope to be able to offer even more commitment with other initiatives and incentives as we progress our track ownership.”
