Ireland's strength formidable as we reach English Derby crunch

IT is as you were before round three with Ireland still having the front five in the sponsor's outright betting for the Star Sports/TRC English Derby heading into the quarter-finals this weekend.

Heat victories during the competition are now equally shared between the UK and Ireland, although as Ian Fortune pointed out to Jonathan Kay, Ireland has only been able to win those races it was actually represented in.
