Brown bandwagon to roll on but Clowns could be Suffolk best

Brown bandwagon to roll on but Clowns could be Suffolk best

THE curtain comes down on the 2025 open-race year with seven such Tuesday contests at Suffolk Downs where the obvious starting point as ever is an assessment of the Michelle Brown team.

Brown, who completed a first-ever century of open winners with a six-timer here last week, has registered a scarcely credible 34 of those victories at Suffolk Downs since the track reopened early last month and sends 11 for today's contests.

Essex Abbigail (11.38), Bucking Bucks (12.12), Golden Palace (1.19) and In My Life (1.37) are her standout chances but best bet of the day could be Jason Ray's Savana Clowns in a 716m contest at 1.03

Formerly graded at the track before it was forced to close due to fire, she is zero from seven here in opens since its return having finished second four times and third twice but this is only her second attempt over this trip which is her optimum and, crucially, she does not have track record holder Crafty Prospero to contend with today.

Other open fancies are Jason Gornall's Amys Gem (11.54) and Kevin Boon's ex-Irish unbeaten Bockos Frankel who can make a winning UK debut in a 388m maiden at 12.46.

Tralee also hosts an early Tuesday card where Ann O'Neill's Toremore Fortune (11.13), Michael Reidy's Mount Eagle Best (11.47) and Caoimhe O'Mahony's Millridge Willow (1.47) are the main fancies.

Harlow and Oxford have afternoon fixtures with the respective suggestions being Paul Clarke's Ardnasool Hulk (3.11) and Rachel Hill's Showemyourtail (5.14), while David Curry's Easy Kentucky (7.24) makes most appeal at Star Pelaw this evening.
