Bugatti can motor to Star Pelaw victory after smart heat success

SANTAS BUGATTI was comfortably fastest in the heats last week and Frank Kearney's charge should be tough to beat in Star Pelaw's Maiden Monkey final over 435m at 8.16.
He faces just three rivals following the withdrawals of in-season Rapido Lola from trap one and lame Magical Lila from trap three with an early lead on the cards even if speedy Rileys Daughter will improve for last week's first look round.
There are three heats of a new maiden competition, this time over 245m, with the suggestions being the Stuart Tighe duo of Eff Tee Em (7.24) and Trevors Star (7.42) plus Jo Atkins' King Morrison (7.58), while Glenn Foot's Untold Ariary (8.34) and Savva Roberts' Bogger Darling (8.52) are standouts in one-offs over six and four bends respectively.
Tralee has a morning card and the best could come last in the shape of Brackers Rogue who goes in the A5 finale over 525 yards at 2.18.
Carmel O'Regan's dog drops back to a level at which has a near 50 per cent strike rate and is fancied to prove too strong all round.
There is also early action at Towcester where Michelle Brown's Pro Flo can make it two wins in two starts at the track with victory in a D4 contest over 270m at 11.38, while Terry Nevin's Savana Catapilla (4.18) looks best at Oxford.
