Cece 4/9 with bet365 after a dominant Donny display

CARRIGOON CECE is 4/9 with bet365 for the Doncaster Puppy Derby after clocking the fastest semi-final time then drawing trap one in next Saturday's all-railer decider.

Michelle Brown's Romford Puppy Cup heroine flashed out of trap three in the second semi and was around five lengths clear entering the back straight.

Otsider Aero Molly began to erode the advantage from three-quarters but Carrigoon Cece never looked in any danger and scored by a length and a half in 27.81sec (-4o) on a wet track.

The opening semi changed complexion late on with long-time leader Cockneys Zachery reeled in by the Tom Heilbron duo of My Twilight Zone and Demon Hunter.

My Twilight Zone, who had stumbled at the start to trail the field but then secured a dream run round the first two bends to get competitive, took the verdict by a head in 28.39sec from the other pair who could not be separated, Heilbron's Demon Hunter being the fortunate one to progress after a coin toss.

The David Mullins-trained Shado Earth took an early lead in the third semi then dug in to hold off the persistent challenge of Cluain Denis by half a length in 27.97sec, the runner-up having lost vital momentum when forced to check at three-quarters.

Draw for Saturday's all-railer £10,000 final (with bet365 prices): 1 Carrigoon Cece 4/9, 2 Demon Hunter 7/1, 3 My Twilight Zone 7/1, 4 Aero Molly 25/1, 5 Cluain Denis 25/1, 6 Shado Earth 9/2.
