Clongeel set for fourth victory in his last five Valley appearances

CLONGEEL BONO looks set for a fourth win in five starts with victory in Valley's 460m standard open at 8.34.

Christian Darch's dog has a better than one-in-three overall strike rate at the track but has arguably never been in better form than currently and there is no obvious reason for his run to end.

Ideally drawn in one, he should pace up to the bend and take command at that point from which position he will be very tough to reel in.

Valley also has an earlier maiden open over he same trip at 7.24 where the vote goes to Donna Davy's Sudden Bolt.

The early Thursday action comes from Harlow where Yo Paddy can make it two from two over four bends by winning the 11.38 over 415m.

Terry Nevin's dog goes unpenalised for an impressive A7 victory last Friday and, while kennelmate Yo Ronnie Buster on his immediate inside could be an early hazard, that recent success showed that the selection does not need to dominate from the off.

Scheduled Irish meetings at Limerick and Waterford have been cancelled due to expected high temperatures.
