Comeback king Tiermana Blaze can see off in-form Donny rivals

TIERMANA BLAZE showed the benefit of his comeback run a week earlier when claiming the notable scalp of Look Smart last week and David Fradgley's dog can follow up in Doncaster's evening finale over 450m at 8.52.

Absent for almost six months before returning in late November, he led off the second bend seven days ago and flew round in a calculated 27.47sec.

In fairness, something similar may be required against three other last-time-out winners but the vacant trap on his inside is a real bonus and it could be a case of command early in the back straight once again.

Kirsty Grayson's Slaneyside Swade has been a revelation since dropped to sprinting and can complete a hat-trick in the 7.58 over 275m, her Haggard Badger fancied to do likewise over 483m at 8.16, while Phil Milner's Droopys Glam is the pick in a 450m contest at 8.16.

There is also a morning card at Doncaster at which Sue Watson's Primo (11.29) can finally end a frustrating run which has seen him finish second or third ten times in a row since his last victory on 31st August.

Best at Youghal's afternoon meeting could come early in the shape of Nioclas Walsh's Its Paddys Wish in the A3 opener at 1.49 with other fancies there being Erica Hanrahan's Johnstown Adam (2.26) and Kevin McLean's Kerryroad Mary (3.41).

Dave Jeans' Amka Phantom (7.51) and Donna Davy's Canya Jake (8.48) are evening picks at Oxford and Valley respectively.
