Country is rock solid at Galway, Poco best bet of day at Clonmel

GALWAY joins the regular sisracing.tv service with an 8-race evening card and ROCK COUNTRY is a strong early fancy in an S6 sprint over 350 yards at 8.18.

Martin Griffin's charge is one from one at this level having made a bright start to his career with two victories in four starts and he should be very tough to beat if getting away anything like on terms.

Subsequent Galway suggestions are Leeanne Fleming's Hanover John (8.48) and John Sloyan's Portumna Amber (9.06).

Best bet of the day, however, could come at Clonmel in the shape of Eleanor O'Neill's Poco Boy in the 7.51 over 525 yards where he is dropped in grade on the back of a narrow defeat latest and also has the benefit of trap one.

Other Clonmel fancies are David Flanagan's Siennas Local (8.09) and Geoff Parnaby's Tarsna Nico (9.31), while Ian Reilly's Swift Yolandi (12.04), Thomas Ivory's Delvin Man (1.12) and Rita Carberry's Kilmessan Tiara (1.47) all appeal at the early Friday Irish SIS fixture at Mullingar.

Harlow has morning and evening fixtures with Debbie Hurlock's Millview Bobby (1.19) fancied to follow up his debut victory at the track at the early fixture, while Paul Rea's Maeda (8.16) can make it two wins in his last three tonight.

The afternoon card is at Star Pelaw where Ken Kennedy's Jolly Draw (3.41) can build on the promise of his latest second place finish.
