Crafty in Suffolk record books as six-timer sees Brown prosper

CRAFTY PROSPERO ensured that the Suffolk Downs 716m track record was lowered for the second successive week with a runaway success in Tuesday's opener there.

He had been well beaten when Fabulous Heka first lowered the mark by one spot seven days previously but her 44.98sec clocking did not last long in the record books as Michelle Brown's charge dominated throughout to win by seven lengths from Capel Rose in a superb 44.45sec (normal).

Brown's night got better and better as she went on to complete a six-timer, giving her ten open-race victories at the track's first two comeback fixtures.

Hare issues emerged early in the meeting as Suffolk Downs gets back to to full speed and the scheduled second contest was declared void and not staged due to the greyhounds having been out of the kennels too long.
