ROMEO CYPHER, owned by Dave Firmager and trained by David Mullins, had finished third behind kennelmate and litter-brother Romeo Crusade in the Romford Puppy Cup in a brilliant start to his career.

His 2024 campaign began with defeat at the hands of Coppice Ella as he only sneaked through the first round of the BGBF Puppy Cup in fourth but he was dominant in his semi and more so in the final where he set a new track record of 26.47sec to secure the first Category One title of the year.

21/01 - Towcester: Blue Riband - Signet Goofy

SIGNET GOOFY celebrated his fourth birthday in brilliant style by holding 2023 Derby runner-up and track record holder Romeo Command to land the first all-aged four-bend Category One title of the year.

Trained by John Mullins for Lee Calcutt and Chris Waters, a 3.96sec sectional quickly took him clear and the 2022 Derby semi-finalist dug in when it mattered to repel the odds-on favourite by a neck in 29.39sec (-40).
