Diamond heads sponsor betting for Shelbourne Champion Stakes
BOCKOS DIAMOND is 3/1 favourite with sponsor BOYLEsports for the €20,000 Champion Stakes which starts with three sisracing.tv-covered semi-finals over 550 yards at Shelbourne Park on Saturday night.
Graham Holland's 2024 Irish Derby champion looks sure to be tested as he faces an opening heat clash with Kirby Memorial winner Bouncing Monarch, the 4/1 second favourite outright, and classy Solo And G0 with only two progressing to the final.
Bockos Diamond made a successful Irish return at Shelbourne Park after early elimination from the English Derby when winning in 28.26sec on 30th May and followed up with a 28.01sec solo trial three weeks later, both those assignments over 525 yards rather than the 550 yards he tackles this weekend.
