Direct interest West for best on Mullingar's evening programme

ROAD WEST almost always gives a good account and his sheer consistency entitles him to a fairly strong vote in Mullingar's A7 opener over 525 yards at 6.21.

Paul Gavagan's dog should never be too far from the action in this contest and can settle the issue along the back straight.

The other main Mullingar fancy is Catriona Ni-Duill's Kuma Safran who does not look highly-tried in the A5 finale at 8.43 with Richard Dempsey's Clodcar Lilly (7.31) an earlier suggestion.

There is also Irish action from Kilkenny this morning where the fancies are Louise Whall's Giddyup Fizz (11.45), Dayne Peacock's Shook Up (12.21) and, particularly, Mairead Corcoran's Foulkscourt Pet (2.03).

Afternoon-wise the action comes from Doncaster and Valley with Sue Watson's Avenue Time (2.52) the Donny standout, while Christian Darch's Spice Bag (3.59) looks good at Valley.

The scheduled evening meeting at Harlow has been cancelled due to high temperatures.
