Dolce set to rebound and star at Pelaw after semi disappointment

WONDERFUL DOLCE is well worth another chance when Glenn Foot's bitch goes in a winner of one stayers' contest over 590m at home track Star Pelaw (8.16).
She has fellow course and distance winners Ballyhimikin Ivy and Bombay Fantasy to beat but her four lengths second to record-breaking kennelmate Emilys Superstar in the Stewards Cup first round was a tremendous effort for all she disappointed in the semis, while the make-up is excellent too.
Pelaw also has three heats of a Maiden Monkey over 435m in which the selections are Stuart Tighe's Wonderful Jo (7.04), Foot's Darbys Faye (7.24) and Dean Blackbird's Marlfield Katie (7.42), while Jo Atkins' High Beam Hickey can land a one-off 245m sprint open at 7.58
Tralee has a morning card and Daleroad Decade, who did the business for us last time, can reward further support when she returns to action in an A3 over 525 yards at 12.21.
That fifth victory in eight starts for John O'Keeffe's young bitch was by just half a length with no improvement on the clock so she escapes an upgrade and remains at a level where she has a two from three record.
The manner in which she rallied on that occasion was impressive and should stand her in good stead today as there is other pace in the contest but she can be on top when it matters.
Other Tralee fancies are Rathcaola (12.38) and Tarbert (1.47), just shaded by the rally of Daleroad Decade last time.
There is also early action at Towcester where Mattie Richards' Bank Overdrawn appeals in a D2 contest over 270m at 12.29, while Jason Ray's Voluntary (5.29) looks best at Oxford.
