Equally split numbers-wise but no doubting the Irish upper hand

SIX UK-based greyhounds will do battle with six Irish raiders in the semi-finals of the Star Sports/TRC English Derby over 500m at Towcester on Saturday.

However, with Bombay Pat and Dynamic Force, at 16/1 apiece in places, the biggest-priced of the Irish sextet, while 20/1 Droopys Plunge is the shortest of the home team, there can be little doubt where the balance of power lies.
