Funeral of Valley 'driving force' Malcolm Tams is on Tuesday

THE funeral of former Valley promoter Malcolm Tams takes place on Tuesday [27th January] at Saint Sannan's Church in Bedwellty at 2.15pm.

Tams, who was 70, died on New Year's Eve and was still very much part of the fabric at the South Wales track which he sold to Dave Barclay in 2021.

Richard Brankley, head of greyhound operations for SIS, said: "It is with deep sadness that we share the funeral arrangements for our colleague and friend Malcolm Tams who sadly passed away at the turn of the year.

"Malc was the driving force behind greyhound racing in Wales and the heartbeat of Valley track. 

"His energy, passion and knowledge is greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

"For those who wish to pay their respects, the family has provided the following details of the funeral service."
