GBGB switching to electronic registrations and transfers

THE GBGB has announced a move to electronic registrations and transfer of ownerships as part of the wider Digital Transformation Programme.

Following a successful trial period since the start of the year, as of Monday 6th October, all registration and transfer documentation must be sent to the GBGB Registry department via the racing offices by email.

The move will improve the efficiency of the registration and transfer processes, eliminating ever-increasing postage costs and risk of documents being lost in the post.

However, although this will speed up the overall registration/transfer method, the GBGB still retains the right to five working days to process any registrations or transfers, as per Rule 188(i) of the Rules of Racing.

Each document should be completed in black ink and in block capitals and submitted alongside all relevant documentation.

Tracks whose trainers/owners pay GBGB direct can still submit the paperwork electronically with GBGB retaining it until payment is received.

British-bred dogs that require a transfer of ownership require the relevant amendments to be made with the Greyhound Stud Book first.
