GRI and SIS announce deal for coverage of major Irish features
The Race of Champions final next week will be the first to feature on SIS under a new deal with GRI


MAJOR Irish feature events are to be showcased by all SIS channels following an agreement announced today [7th June] with Greyhound Racing Ireland.

First final to come under the auspices of the deal will be next Friday's Callaway Pro Am @ Stud Race Of Champions decider, the heats of which are scheduled for Tralee's Kingdom Stadium tonight.

A statement from GRI said: "GRI is delighted to announce that it will be showcasing nine feature and Classic greyhound racing finals online on sisracing.tv

"This exciting collaboration brings the top greyhound racing action to the broader audience of Irish greyhound racing fans around the world."

Tim Lucey, CEO of GRI, added: “GRI are proud to partner with SIS to bring these prestigious events to viewers.  

"This partnership  is a testament to our commitment to promote and celebrate our sport of greyhound racing to not only our home audience but to those further afield.”

Ryan Corrie, greyhounds operations manager for SIS, commented: “We are delighted to be showcasing the best of Irish greyhound racing, both on sisracing.tv and our normal channels.

"The features and Classics are always hugely popular and it's great to bring these events to the racing audience."

Tralee's year-end Kingdom Derby will also feature, while other events scheduled for coverage are Clonmel's Produce Stakes, Curraheen Park's Irish Laurels, Limerick's Irish Leger, Mullingar's Fair Warrior plus Shelbourne's Champion Stakes, Juvenile Derby and Winter Racing Festival.

Additionally, the entire BoyleSports Irish Derby will be available in shops and online with the competition having an autumn slot this year due to redevelopment work at Shelbourne Park.
