GRI announces big-race competition schedule for 2026
GREYHOUND Racing Ireland (RCÉ) has published the schedule of feature events and Classics for 2026.
Clonmel’s big unraced competition and the Shelbourne Gold Cup, which is slated to start on the last day of the month, are the January highlights.
The Kingdom Derby at Tralee and Shelbourne’s Christmas Oaks remain traditional year-enders.
The Winter Racing Festival at Shelbourne Park has been pencilled in for Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November 2026.
It had already been announced that the BOYLE Sports Irish Derby would conclude a week earlier than this year with the final on Saturday 12th September.

SIS doubled Irish big-race coverage in 2025 and details of next year’s schedule will be announced in due course with another increase on the cards.
