GRI launches 4-part docu-series covering the 2025 Irish Derby

GREYHOUND Racing Ireland has announced the launch of a major new original production - The Story of the 2025 Irish Greyhound Derby - which will go live on Wednesday 18th February at 2pm.

The four-part documentary series represents a significant step forward in how the Irish Greyhound Derby is captured and presented.

Produced by GRI, the series moves beyond race results to tell the deeper story of the 2025 Derby, the anticipation, the pressure, the people and the defining moments that shaped last year's running.

Across four cinematic episodes, viewers will experience the Derby as a living sporting drama - from the opening heats through to semi-final tension and the emotion of final night, the series brings audiences along to relive the action from one of Irish sport’s most iconic competitions.

This is a flagship GRI content project and sets a new benchmark for Derby storytelling, while also establishing the creative framework for future productions as the sport builds toward the 2027 centenary of greyhound racing in Ireland.

Narrated by Ian Fortune, episode one will premiere online on Talking Dogs www.grireland.ie/talkingdogs and the GRI YouTube Channel on Wednesday, with episodes released weekly.
