High-class open action features across SIS autumn schedule

THE £5,000 Star Sports Welsh Derby heats at Valley on Sunday herald the start of a Golden Autumn at the 4 UK tracks featuring regularly on SIS.

Included are a trio of Category One competitions including two new events, the Doncaster Puppy Derby and SIS Sprint at Harlow, while Star Pelaw has upgraded the SIS Stewards Cup to Category One status after its revival 12 months ago.

Richard Brankley, head of greyhound operations for SIS, said: “There is so much to look forward to at the four tracks which are all important community assets.

“Additionally, Doncaster, Harlow and Valley are all family-owned while Star Pelaw is very much Ben Keith’s project given his unashamed love for greyhound racing.

“We have been delighted by the early expressions of interest in the competitions and look forward to some high-class Saturday night action for owners and trainers.”
