Kane scores in record fashion at Enniscorthy, Towcester in sights
GLENGAR KANE, trained by Pat Buckley for owner Richard Colwell, made it five wins in five career starts with a brilliant track record performance in the €4,000 final of the Lord Kennels Unraced Stake ON1 over 525 yards at Enniscorthy.
Sent off 4/7 favourite on the back of his perfect record in the preliminaries, the October 2023 son of Grangeview Ten and Mystical Luna saw rival Seamount King trap just in front but Glengar Kane forced his way through on the inside at the opening turn and the only race afterwards was one against the clock.
He ultimately came home eight lengths to the good of Seamount King in clocking 28.26sec, an improvement of 12 spots on the previous mark set by Cushie Concorde in April 2022.

Afterwards, Buckley told reporter Aoife Corrigan that a challenge for the 2026 English Derby at Towcester is on the cards.
Enniscorthy now signs off for the remainder of winter prior to a racing return in early March.
