Knegare tough to oppose in 600 final which is right up his street

CALLAWAY KNEGARE looked back to his best with a dominant semi-final performance last weekend and Owen McKenna's charge is the one to beat in the €15,000 Shelbourne Open 600 final at 9.24.
Ian Fortune previews the full Shelbourne Park card in the link below but the logic in siding with the Irish Derby third is his suitability to the famous 600 yards trip allied to an ability to ensure that a potentially tricky draw outside Timmys Bucks does not prove so.

Principal UK meeting is at Oxford which has open action this evening and where Chris Hamblin's Distant Buddy could prove the day's best bet in a 253m sprint at 6.39.
Unbeaten in three British races, he has demolished graded sprint fields the last twice and, although taking a further significant rise in class, looks one to stick with.
There is also open action at Doncaster tonight where Kirsty Grayson can double up with Look Smart (7.24) and Maximum Calibre (8.16).
Donny has a morning meeting as well with Debbie Calvert's Valley Orchard (12.54) the pick while Seamus Gaughan's Doohoma Babe (12.46) and John Kiely's Youneverlostit (3.22) are the respective fancies at Towcester and Youghal.
