LENNIES EDDIE, the English Derby champion, has been forced out of the BOYLE Sports-sponsored Irish version at Shelbourne Park due to injury ahead of this week's third round.

The Paul Hennessy-trained, Lee Craze-owned dog has picked up a back niggle which, whilst not thought to be serious, is likely to keep him on the easy list for a few weeks at least.

Lennies Eddie was due to race from T4 in the opening heat of Saturday’s third round meaning the trap will now remain vacant.
