Lifford is rewarded with Sunday switch as SIS schedule tweaked

SIS has announced a number of schedule changes for its greyhound service which will commence week beginning Monday 9th March, with a move from the evening to afternoon slot on a Sunday for Lifford the headliner.

Richard Brankley, head of greyhound operations for SIS, explained: “Lifford, in addition to be being one of the most visually impressive tracks on the service, has established itself as a favourite venue for bettors since debuting on SIS in late 2024 and deserves the wider exposure that a Sunday afternoon meeting will offer.

Lifford is switching from Sunday evening to Sunday afternoon

"Their first Sunday afternoon meeting will be on 15th March and sees the current Mullingar meeting move to a Wednesday evening alongside Harlow.

"Keen observers will also have noticed an earlier start to Sunday racing with Valley moving to a first race time of 10.11am in response to customer requests and the track will also stage several additional Tuesday afternoon meetings over the coming months to accommodate an increase in the runner pool from ex-Swindon racers.

"Finally, Saturday 21st March will see Thurles host a second morning meeting alongside Doncaster as the track continues to increase its racing on the service."
