Miller setting out as a trainer with first Star Pelaw runners
NEW on-site Star Pelaw trainer Ross Miller sends out his first runners at the north-east venue tonight when he has six representatives on the nine-race card.
Racing manager Dave Gray said: "Ross is a well-known figure in the north-east as he has been an owner with numerous trainers over the years and has plenty of experience as a kennel hand working in some of the region's biggest and most successful kennels - most recently for Tom Heilbron and Dean Blackbird.
"He's looking to start off with around 20 greyhounds and will increase this number over the coming months as he gets settled in and becomes established.
"Ross looks to have a couple of live chances on his first night, perhaps best with Fruity Ner Ner (6.11) who looked a little unlucky in the run last time finishing second behind Cornerstone so he may get off to a flyer in the first."
