Next GBGB webinar focusses on safety issues regarding raw meat

GBGB is hosting a short webinar on Monday 6th July [14.00 – 14.30] providing advice on the safe handling, preparation and storage of raw meat - free and open to all GBGB licence holders.

Led by GBGB Regional Regulatory Vet, Dr Susan Andresier, the ‘bite‑size’ session will focus on the importance of hygiene when raw feeding and the steps you can take to reduce any associated risks.

Susan qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2002 and spent over two decades working in small animal practice before joining GBGB in 2024.

She served as Chair of the British Association of Veterinary Herbalists, helping to promote the responsible use of herbal and holistic medicine in veterinary care.

Commenting on the session, GBGB Education Manager Meriel France said: “We are delighted to welcome Susan to share her experience and knowledge of raw feeding and how best to maintain a safe environment for both greyhounds and the humans caring for them.

"This session will provide a useful explanation of the science behind why maintaining high hygiene standards is so vital, alongside practical tips and advice that can be implemented in your kennels.”
