Nijinsky set to dance to another Valley victory against old rivals

DROOPYS NIJINKSY has won five of his last six and further success is on the cards when Donna Davy's dog goes in a 460m open at home track Valley at 1.29.

That quintet of recent victories have seen him beat four of today's five rivals while the other, Annadown Paddy, lacks previous course knowledge.

Capable of leading by the first bend, the selection can put the issue to bed along the back straight.

Two divisions of a maiden open over the same distance can go to Anna Jeffery's Rockmount Polly (12.21) and Karen Dodington's Swift Francesca (12.54), while Jeffery's Hawkfield Jazz (11.13) and Steve Howard's Crokers Bluebell (11.54) are earlier sprint open picks over 260m.

There is afternoon and evening Irish action from Lifford and Clonmel respectively - at Lifford James Anderson's Tippenyaki (3.59) can end a losing run with William Mullan's When Am Gone (2.26) and John McQuillan's Pharis Peak (4.18) other fancies, while David Flanagan's Bringittome (7.31) and Kevin McLean's Kerryroad Jessie (8.09) are the standouts at Clonmel.

Doncaster has a ten-race morning card at which Jimmy Gaskin's Gotacrushonyou (11.21) looks good to end a run of three second place finishes.

The evening meeting scheduled for Star Pelaw has been abandoned due to an issue with the hare motor.
