Robinson's Boy springs a 16/1 shock in Juvenile Derby decider

GETUP THE BOY, the 16/1 outsider of the field, landed a shock but thoroughly merited victory in the €25,000 Time Juvenile Derby final over 525 yards at Shelbourne Park.

Trained by Mark Robinson for Daniel Ornstein, the January 2024 son of Ballymac Cashout and Peckies Flyer ran down long-time leader Unanimous Leo off the final bend, switching wide to deliver his challenge and getting up for a three-parts of a length victory in 28.31sec.

Droopys Faithful stayed on well another length and a half back in third but heavily-supported 5/4 favourite Rural Pest cae in fifth having lost a prominent pitch when crowded at the first bend then making little impression afterwards.
