Roxy can make sweet music if avoiding repeat Lifford stumble

RIDGEDALE ROXY has made a fine start to her career with two wins in five starts and further success looks on the cards in Lifford's A3 over 525 yards at 4.18.

Anna Breen-Hamilton's bitch effectively lost all chance in a similar contest last time when stumbling at the traps but still showed plenty of middle speed.

With no such mishap today, she should soon be prominent and can prove best all-round.

Other Lifford suggestions are David Park's Lotus Frank (3.22) and Mathew Kelly's Icecool Doll (5.14).

There is evening Irish action at Clonmel where the main fancies are Derek Kehoe's Slaneyside Joel (7.04), Canice Hyland's Foxrock Donna (7.24), Eleanor O'Neill's Poco Boy (7.42) and David Hickey's Sparks Lucky (8.16).

Doncaster has a morning card at which Ricky Overton's Grouchos Smasher can win second time dropped to two bends in D3 sprint company at 12.12.

First track under way is Valley where Tony Morgan's Determined Orla (11.45) can make the most of a downgrade.

There are a number of absentees at the Welsh track with planned representatives from the Donna Davy kennel withdrawn.
