Setanta can overcome draw to land Irish Laurels at Cork

BALLYMAC SETANTA can repeat his semi-final feat by overcoming a challenging draw to land the €30,000 final of the Bar 1 Betting Irish Greyhound Laurels over 525 yards at Curraheen Park in Cork (9.24).

Liam Dowling's star, a finalist last year, set a new track record in the first round of this renewal before a shock reverse at the second stage, but he got the run of the race from six last weekend and trap four is a marginal improvement in that regard.

He gets Ian Fortune's vote although the nap selection is Colm Fitzgerald's top sprinter Tiermana Dream in the sisracing.tv opener at 7.34 and next best Karol Ramsbottom's Sober Barry in the Laurels Consolation at 9.06.
