SPLITTING HAIRS had been threatening to register the victory she achieved last time and an upgrade may not stop her following up in Doncaster's B2 over 450m at 5.03.

Sam Lapidge's bitch again has the benefit of the outside draw and none of her rivals has really been lighting up the track of late. Capable of taking early control, she should take some pegging back.

The other afternoon fixture is at Valley where Christian Darch's Affleck Nashwan (4.56) can make the most of a drop in grade.

There is morning and evening Wednesday Irish action with Gordon Rotheram's Acton Superhoops (11.13) best at Kilkenny's early meeting where Louise Whall's Giddyup Joe (10.57) and Anne Brennan's Scotchrath Diva (2.03) are other suggestions.

James Slevin's Angel Wings (6.21), Ian Reilly's Swift Yolandi (6.56) and, particularly, Catriona Ni-Duill's Kuma Khadija (8.26) look good subsequently at Mullingar.

Harlow has the usual double-header with Sharon Saberton's well-drawn Hollywell Orchid (11.38) and Maurice Rice's unpenalised Rileys Daughter (7.24) the picks.
