Star Pelaw Oaks the Saturday feature with in-form Lily primed
HILLSIDE LILY might have a little to find on the clock with fastest heat winner Burrow Bell but Martin Stout's bitch looks by far the most likely winner of the £1,000 final of the JDC Property & Improvements Oaks over Star Pelaw's 435m course at 8.32.
The selection is on a seven-timer with her winning run having started in the semi-finals of the Rose Bowl over the course and distance in October and context to her clocking last Sunday can be given by the fact she took a bump soon after leaving traps which would have cost her time.
That did not stop her leading comfortably and more of the same pace this evening should soon see her away and gone with Tromora Grace perhaps the one most likely to chase her home.

There is also evening open action at Doncaster where David Fradgley's Rental Crisis can regain the winning thread in a 275m sprint at 8.34 with other non-maiden picks being Kirsty Grayson's Look Smart (8.16) and kennelmate Haggard Badger (8.52).
Doncaster also has an early Saturday meeting with Sam Lapidge's Maybe Sydney looking good dropped back to 450m at 11.47.
Youghal holds the afternoon fort with Damian Varian's Warriors Way (2.26) making most appeal, while Kevin Hutton's Silvertown Blues can make all in an Oxford A1 over 450m at 8.09.
