Statistically speaking - looking at round two of the Irish Derby

ROUND two of the BOYLE Sports Irish Greyhound Derby, staged over Friday and Saturday night at Shelbourne Park last weekend, produced an average winning time of 29.59sec for the 550 yards Classic course, just one spot faster than the previous stage.
Quickest once again was the Graham Holland-trained Bombay Pat with a best-of-event 29.17sec victory in Saturday's opener and, while he had to settle for second place in the round one third bend sectionals, he was out on his own this time with a 16.90sec split, again a competition best.
Liam Dowling's Solo And Go (3.35sec) headed the traditional sectional standings for the second round running.
Holland was leading training for the round with three winners, one ahead of Pat Buckley, Pat Guilfoyle and Paul Hennessy.
