Suffolk Downs is relicensed by GBGB with trial dates to follow

SUFFOLK DOWNS has been given the green light by the GBGB to resume racing with preparations now under way for a first trials session after its relicensing was confirmed.
The go-ahead was given after a second inspection of repairs and renovations at the Mildenhall venue recently following the devastating fire which stopped all operations in July last year.
As well as repairs, the opportunity was taken to install new air conditioning in the reconstructed kennels as well as a new running rail.
Initially it is expected that a number of trainers formerly attached to the venue will provide runners whilst the kennel strength is built back up.
A delighted promoter Kevin Boothby is set to confirm details of trials sessions and intended race days this week.
