Suffolk Downs ready for initial GBGB inspection following fire

SUFFOLK DOWNS is set to take a big step closer to a racing return with news that a provisional inspection by the GBGB of work done to facilitate it is scheduled for this week.

The track last raced on 29th July last year before a devastating fire 24 hours later which was initially thought likely to rule out a racing taking place until 2026.

However, significant progress has been made in the past few months with the opportunity taken to install new air conditioning in the reconstructed kennels and a new running rail as well as repairing all the required infrastructure.

A further update will be provided once the GBGB inspection has taken place and its findings are known.
