Thurles ready to stage its first Saturday morning SIS meeting
THURLES will break new ground on Saturday [24th January] when staging its first morning meeting since joining the SIS service in August last year.
The famous Townpark venue, which is home to the Tipperary Cup, opened in 1948 and had been racing on Saturday evenings only prior to signing up with SIS since when it has staged a monthly Tuesday fixture.

Saturday's fixture comprises ten races with the first scheduled for 11.04am and will complement Doncaster's morning meeting on a day featuring six greyhound meetings on the SIS service.
