Tomas can star for Kehoe again after latest career-best victory

SLANEYSIDE TOMAS produced easily his career best performance when recording a fifth straight win seven days ago and there is no obvious reason to desert him when he tackles top grade for the first time in Youghal's A1 over 525 yards at 12.21.

Derek Kehoe's charge was in A5 as recently as November but has gone from strength to strength this year and his latest 28.72sec (calc) was 38 spots quicker than anything achieved before.

That suggests the May 2024 youngster still has more improvement to come and is worth sticking with even in the face of comfortably his sternest test to date.

Kehoe can also score later on the card with downgraded Slaneyside Luna (1.29), while John Hickey's Any Other Craic looks good in the A6 opener at 11.13.

Harlow has a Monday double-header with Jason Gornall's consistent Blitz Hurricane (11.04) the strongest morning fancy, while Di Jinks' Tomahurra Scobby can register a seventh D5 sprint victory this evening at 7.58.

Doncaster and Suffolk Downs host afternoon meetings with Shaun Birks' Goulane Ace looking to have a great make-up in a D3 sprint at 2.52, while Michelle Brown's Pro Flo (3.03) can make it three wins in four starts at the last-named venue.
