Tomcat again impresses before weather takes a toll at Donny

THE draw for Saturday's Yorkshire Derby final at Doncaster will be made by the GBGB on Monday after only one of the semi-finals was completed without incident.
Patrick Janssens' Romeo Tomcat comfortably landed odds of 1/3 in the opening semi of the 483m Category Two event, challenging at the first bend then going clear from halfway to win by over seven lengths from Jacktavern Chief in 29.33sec (-40) with Keefill Goose the other qualifier.
Weather conditions were even worse for the second semi and it proved too much for the hare which failed causing the contest to be voided with all five greyhounds reported fine afterwards.
Naochra, Scooby The Boss and Slick Sentinel were drawn to progress to he final.
