Tommy's speed set to prove key as Thurles makes an early start

BOGGER TOMMY can complete a four-timer with victory in A2 company at Thurles (11.21) as Saturday morning racing debuts at the Tipperary venue.
Liam Peacock's charge scored over the 525 yards trip here on 22nd November then went back-to-back at Kilkenny last month with his early pace proving a potent weapon on each occasion.
There are some potential rivals for the lead today but the plus side is that, should he dominate as expected, they could then act as blockers between him and the stronger runners.
Other Thurles fancies are Bull Run Kiwi (11.04), Lanespark Girl (11.38), Cabra Nyla (12.46) and Boozed Akela (1.37).
There is a full evening open card at Star Pelaw with Darren Golightly's Newline Kielty suggested as the best bet when she goes in a 435m maiden at 8.48.
The lack of previous course knowledge cannot be a positive but trap one should help in that regard and her winning Doncaster B2 form plus creditable open efforts subsequently, including in the Category One Puppy Oaks at Oxford, suggest she could prove a cut above her rials.
Leading local handler Glenn Foot should be aongst the winners as usual with obvious claims for the kennel including Burrow Bell (7.02), Untold Ariary (7.34), Wonderful Dolce (8.03) and No Brakes (9.24).
Dean Blackbird's Eden Dolly can make it three wins in her last four appearances at the track by taking the 435m contest which opens proceedings at 6.43.
Doncaster has a morning/evening double header with the respective suggestions being Sue Watson's Gaytime Mona (11.47) and Ricky Overton's Zari Lizzy (8.16), while Angie Kibble's Ballymac Rocky can take Oxford's A2 finale at 9.01.
The afternoon meeting scheduled for Youghal has been cancelled due to mechanical issues.
