Harlow's new SIS Sprint attracts strong entry for Monday's heats

HARLOW has attracted a strong field for the inaugural SIS Sprint, a £7,500 Category One competition taking place over 238m at the Essex track over the next three Mondays.

It is a mixture of the familiar and new with the first category including the likes of Moaning Hearns, winner of a British Bred event over the course and distance in June and recent Scurry finalist Roanna Mamba, who meet in heat two.

Silver Salver finalist and Yarmouth Sprint winner Nightingale Crew is in against 47-times open winner Yahoo Megan in heat four, while Scurry third Newinn Souly stands out in the heat six finale.

Croydon Bucko, who as Silverhill Bucko led English Derby champion Lennies Eddie for a long way in a Irish Laurels heat at Curraheen Park last month, is a fascinating British debutant in heat five where Book Story lies in wait, the pair having both dipped under Kenton Ten's 14.52sec 2020 track record in recent trial work.
