Loxleys aces rivals in setting the Dobbin Maiden Derby standard

LOXLEYS ACE, trained locally by Ross Miller, was fastest in the heats of the Alan Dobbin Maiden Derby over 435m at Star Pelaw.

Leading early in heat one, he did benefit from scrimmaging amongst his rivals but was a worthy and emphatic winner by more than eight lengths in 25.88sec (-20) as he registered a fourth victory in his last five starts.

Other heats went to Carl Jackson's Parkfield Bella (25.97sec) and Sam Atkinson's Francisco Bay (26.17sec).
