Hearns to deliver knockout blow in SIS British Bred Sprint decider

MOANING HEARNS showed all sorts of pace in defeat in the heats and even a marginally better break could take him tough to beat in the £3,000 final of the SIS British Bred Sprint over 238m at Harlow (7.24).

Darren Whitton's dog went down by a couple of lengths to Sunnyside Ted having been flat-footed at the start but switching to a middle draw may elicit a faster start and his superb early can then take him to the front by the bend.

Sunnyside Ted is much respected and a ping start would make him huge player although Whitton's Moaning Mai Tai could aid her kennelmate by holding him up early.

MOANING MAI TAI, trained locally by Darren Whitton, was fastest in the heats of the SIS British Bred Sprint over 238m at Harlow. Sent off 10/11 favourite for heat two, just ahead of 2024 champion Pro Parker (evens) in the market, Moaning Mai Tai effectively had the race won

The other Harlow final is that of a Maiden Monkey over 415m at 6.46 in which Dan Brabon's Swift Krab should be all the better for his sighter in the heats, while Dave Lee's Untold Ripple can take a one-off maiden over the same trip at 6.11.

There is earlier morning action at Harlow where Debbie Hurlock's Crystal Bubbles (1.03) can enhance an already excellent record when tackling D4 sprint rivals.
