Megan can roll back the years again in Harlow SIS Sprint heats

YAHOO MEGAN is showing few signs of slowing despite being well past her fourth birthday and Patrick Janssens' charge can dominate in heat four of the SIS Sprint over 238m a Harlow (7.24).

She faces a very worthy rival in the shape of the younger Nightingale Crew, whose trial work here was significantly quicker than her sole effort, but the selection is something of a win machine and gets it right more often than not when it matters.

Maxine Locke can further aid her Trainer of the Year bid by sending out a double in heats five and six of the Category One competition in the shape of Headford Fiona (7.58) and Headford Sarah (8.34) respectively although the last-named does have to contend with Scurry third Newinn Souly.

Darren Whitton's Moaning Hearns landed a British-bred competition over the course and distance in June and, although lightly-raced since, is preferred to Scurry finalist Roanna Mamba in heat two at 6.11 courtesy of his 11 from 18 record at the track.

Sunnyside Ted finished second in that summer final and Patrick Browne's charge can land heat three at 6.46 on the back of a recent Hove graded double.

The opening heat begins Harlow's evening proceedings at 5.34 with the vote going to Nathan Hunt's Bretons Girl who has had the benefit of a couple of looks round in trials.

Harlow also has two heats of a maiden competition over 415m for which the selections are Gemma Evans' Alien Tiger (6.29) and Martyn Wiley's Raha Jayjay (7.04), while Sharon Saberton's Dellser Sheeran can land a one-off maiden sprint at 7.42.

Earlier, Debbie Hurlock's Rains Bono (12.12) appeals at Harlow's morning fixture, with Sue Watson's Put Things Right (4.18) the afternoon pick at Doncaster.
