No distractions for Blitz at Thurles, Stubborn the day’s best at Tralee

No distractions for Blitz at Thurles, Stubborn the day’s best at Tralee

FEATURE Tuesday event is the rescheduled €3,000 final of the Thurles Track Champion Bitch Stake over 525 yards at 8.09.

The situation is complicated somewhat by the fact that the two semi-final winners, Deerjet Matilda and Droopys Bundle, along with first round standard-setter Singalong Cherry, all qualified from the Sporting Press Online Edition Irish Oaks heats at Shelbourne Park last Saturday when this contest was originally due to be staged.

All things considered, the percentage call could be Pat Buckley’s Glengar Blitz who is the sole seeded runner, did not have the Shelbourne distraction and was very impressive in round one here before a narrow semi-final reverse.
