Nominations are announced for GBGB's annual awards evening

THE GBGB has announced the nominations for the various awards categories to be presented at the annual gala evening which this year takes place at Easthampstead Park, Wokingham on Thursday 5th March.

Publication of the nominations follows a lengthy meeting of the Awards Panel - made up of representatives from across the industry - at which, due to an impressive number of worthy nominees this year, the decision was taken to expand the number of greyhounds in each category.

Multiple champion trainer Mark Wallis has eight nominees with Patrick Janssens just one behind on seven.

Mark Moisley, the GBGB commercial director, said:“We are delighted to be announcing the nominees for each category at the 2025 GBGB Awards following considerable discussion by the Panel.

"After a fantastic year of racing and notable achievements by so many racers, there is strong competition for the top prizes across every category. We wish the best of luck to all nominees."
