Oxford will again stage weekend opens on Saturday not Sunday

OXFORD has once again opted to stage this weekend's opens on Saturday evening rather than Sunday afternoon due to trainer preference and availability.

Recent weeks have seen opens advertised for both Saturday and Sunday with the first weekend in February being the initial occasion that Saturday was chosen rather than what had become the traditional Sunday.

That is again the case with five opens on a bumper 15-race Saturday evening card and the scheduled Sunday afternoon fixture cancelled.
