Parker for happy Harlow return, but Wagga looks Monday's best

Parker for happy Harlow return, but Wagga looks Monday's best

PRO PARKER, a 23-times open-race winner, has been lightly-raced recently but the 2024 champion can get off to a winning start in the SIS British Bred Sprint over 238m at Harlow.

Michelle Brown's charge reached his fourth birthday last month and was well beaten when returning from an absence at Towcester recently but he has fared well in the draw and should be capable of taking a depleted heat two at 6.46 in relatively straightforward fashion.

The opening heat at 6.11 can see Ricky Holloway's King Presley overcome a lack of previous course knowledge, while Darren Whitton's prolific Moaning Hearns is the heat three pick at 7.24.

Two heats of the Harlow Maiden Monkey over 415m are best left to Sharon Saberton's Tinks Jester (6.29) and Brown's Deelish Jack (7.04), while Dan Brabon's Our Big Bill looks good in a maiden stayers' contest over 592m at 7.58.

There is also morning action at Harlow where Darren Ellerker's Speedy Gene (11.21) goes unpenalised for a recent A7 victory.

Best bet of the day, however, could come at the other other early Monday meeting at Youghal in the shape of Wagga Cook (1.12) who goes against the same class of sprint rivals she comprehensively beat recently.

Mark Drinan's bitch was having her first two bend outing when dominating throughout on June 4th and the drop back in distance could well prove the making of her.

Other Youghal suggestions are Liam Towmey's Witches North (11.13), the Derek Kehoe duo of Slaneyside Max (11.29) and Slaneyside Ella (12.04) plus John Quinn's Who Knew What (12.38).

Doncaster is the afternoon venue with Ken Everitt's Corcass Moll capable of following up a debut victory at the track when she goes in a D2 over 275m at 3.41.
