Patience is set to finally pay off for Zach's Kingdom supporters

Patience is set to finally pay off for Zach's Kingdom supporters

GLENVALE ZACH has generally been heading in the right direction after a slow start to his Tralee career and he can make it 13th time lucky at the venue by making the most of another downgrade to land an A6 over 525 yards at 12.54.

The syndicate-owned three-year-old had an excellent strike rate at former base Waterford but it has proven hard work at the Kingdom Stadium and it has only been in his last half dozen or so runs has he looked like getting to grips with what is required.

His 29.24sec back in March makes him the clear pick on the clock and he is fancied to stay closer to the action than has invariably been the case before pouncing in the second half.

Padraig Regan's Torn Apart (12.21) and John O'Shea's Da Fourth Glass (1.12) are other fancies on the morning Irish card.

At Star Pelaw this evening, Daniel Bell's Dromana Fergie (7.58) goes unpenalised for an impressive A2 victory and can take full advantage.

The scheduled afternoon meeting at Valley has been cancelled due to the forecast extreme temperatures.
