Phoenix looks set to rise in Mullingar’s Friday opener

PHOENIX BETSY can strike an early Friday blow by dominating throughout in Mullingar’s A7 opener over 525 yards at 11.13.

Morgan Crowley’s bitch displays a lot of speed when timing the start right and hinted that her turn was close when leading for a long way latest.

A similar display should soon have her at the head of affairs and she can add to a runaway victory in the grade back in May.

Other Mullingar fancies are Shrewd Memories (11.29) and Glamorous Queen ( 1.29).

There is also Irish Friday evening action from at Limerick where James Kelly's Gurtnacrehy Jude (8.26) looks ready to open her account at the fifth time of asking after a fine effort in defeat latest.

Harlow has morning and evening fixtures with Paul Clarke's Cree Banner (11.04) fancied to make all against A6 rivals at the early fixture, while Terry Nevin's Savana Snicker (8.34) can do likewise in an A7 this evening.

The afternoon card is at Star Pelaw where the pick of the races is an A1 at 3.41 in which Ian Hopper's Trooper Trippett can go one better than last week's excellent second in similar company.
