Ringo can star dropped in class for afternoon Thurles challenge

KILKENNY RINGO (4.07) generally tackles far stronger company than he faces in an A3 at Thurles today and he can capitalise on the opportunity.

Brian Hickey's dog has been second the last twice in A2 grade, albeit comfortably beaten on both occasions, and a similar level of performance could well suffice.

The veteran's most recent victory was when faced with an identical draw and grade back in July and he can prove best all-round.

Other Thurles picks are Paraic Phelan's Code Trigger (2.33) and Christy Fitzpatrick's Monadreenperfect (3.11), while Jackie Moriarty's Cassie Be Good (11.29), Seamus Cooper's Tokenfire Frost (12.04) and, particularly, Donal O'Mahony's Millridge Baxter (12.21) appeal at the earlier Tuesday Irish fixture at Tralee.

Valley has an afternoon meeting with Tony Morgan's downgraded Coolree Blue worth waiting for in the D6 sprint finale at 4.18, while Davy Wilkinson's Newyork Fitzy (6.46) has strong claims at Star Pelaw this evening.
